Kim and Nate’s Sweet Morning Park Wedding

Kim and Nate are two people that I feel like a better person for having met. You know when you meet people who are so good-hearted and good to others that you want some of that kindness to rub off on you? Kim and Nate are those people. An art historian and a special ed teacher (as well as a buddhist,) their ceremony was performed by a monk in Charles Schurz Park in Manhattan on the morning of 10.10.10. After their beautiful ceremony we took a little picture tour of the upper east side. I loved getting to know these two and get a little happily teary-eyed when I think of the way a young man who Nate had mentored hugged him when the ceremony was over, himself with tears in his eyes. It was beautiful and meaningful and exactly what a wedding should be: a celebration of two wonderful people that fell in love.

Alyssa - I absolutely love these photos!!! Since we are getting married in the morning in October too I found this wedding in particular very reassuring. The light is gorgeous (not to mention the bride and groom, who look so blissfully happy) and Liesl I am so excited to have you as our photographer!
