Although we have many awesome weddings in line to blog that took place before Kim and Charles were married, we have decided to blog them right away so they can see a few images before they take off for their long honeymoon traveling Europe this summer. Many (many) more May wedding blog posts soon to come!
I don’t know how to even begin to describe the incredibly awesome event that was Kim and Charles wedding last Thursday, May 27th. Let’s start with the general idea/theme of the wedding. The Great Gatsby. Kim wore a gorgeous 1920′s style dress with a headpiece she made and beaded herself. Her heels were jeweled and purple and awesome. Charles wore traditional tails with a top hat. They looked amazing.
Now for the location… It was at the Cloisters Castle in Lutherville, MD. Indescribably cool location. If you want to know a little more about its awesomeness check out their website. From the murals on the walls, to the castle turrets, to the weird old windmill in the back, it’s incredible everywhere you look. I want to live there.
And now for my favorite part! The birds! Kim and Charles hired awesome Master Falconer Daniel Vitilio to bring a hawk and an owl to the wedding. They added the final amazing touch to what was already an incredible wedding. Although Daniel doesn’t usually let people hold the owl (because they’re pretty dangerous birds) Kim was fearless and looked incredibly cool holding it (as did Charles.)
This wedding was awesome and Kim and Charles are the coolest couple around. We are so, so happy that they found us and we got to be a part of their incredible wedding!
